Hi, y'all! Despite nearly 50 years in the Southwest, I still think with a southern accent! I'm a wife, mom, and grandma, privileged to be retired from the official work force. SI love the Blue Ridge Mountains, where I graduated from Virginia Tech with a major in Urban Affairs and minors in geography, political science, economics, sociology, and housing. I applied those studies to a master's program in print journalism at Eastern New Mexico University. My career has included social service, property management, and journalism. At every job and many churches, I've been the go-to creator for newsletters, brochures, fliers, and other print media. I'm grateful that my own creation, The Penwheel Circle, is finally coming to life! And for every reader who visits the website and blogs!
Hello! I recently decided to start writing again after a long pause. I've been working at the same job for more than 30 years with West Virginia's Department of Health and Human Resources. I feel we help a lot of people, which makes this role very fulfilling. On a more personal note, I am a devout Christian and enjoy being an aunt to many nephews and nieces. My youngest sister and I live together. Fun fact: We don't own a vehicle, so we use public transportation or walk everywhere! We recently rescued a mama cat and her young kitten Watching the new life explore is fun. Cats are one of God's many blessings in my life.
Hi! I grew up in different parts of New Mexico, often living near a Navajo Reservation, which has influenced many of my experiences. I graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a degree in English and a minor in library science. My jobs have focused on libraries – public, college, and school. I love the Lord, my family, and my church family, where I serve in the quilting ministry. My hobbies include reading, playing with my dog Jet, growing flowers, and, of course, quilting.
